Club Instructors:             Availability                                       Type of Aircraft
Bill Lairsey               by appointment only                              Electric, Nitro, Gas
Peter Sarvas             by appointment only                              Electric, Nitro, Gas

What club instructors expect from students:

• Join the Portland Propsnappers R/C Club, join AMA and register with the FAA.
• Training requires students to provide their own plane that is a 4 channel trainer or equivalent with a transmitter that is Spektrum buddy box capable. If not Spektrum provide your own buddy box that is compatable. Novice pilots have had good success with the E-Flite Apprentice 1.5 meter aircraft available at the local hobby shop in both the Transmitter included and the Bind & Fly version that comes without the transmitter. All E-Flite aircraft are Spektrum compatable.
• Have a fully charged transmitter & receiver (nitro/gas planes) battery.
• Plane fully checked out for flight worthiness at the hobby shop. Or by your instructor at the field.
• Additional field equipment needed: Glow starter, chicken stick or electric start, and fuel for nitro planes. It is recommended that students have three charged batteries for electric planes, or bring a battery charger to the field.
Note: Propsnappers field is equiped with a high capacity solar charging station.

• Each modeler to observe all rules of the club and AMA.
